Big Blue Filter Cartridge Housing
Description
The Big Blue filter cartridge housing is a robust and versatile solution for accommodating 10 or 20 inch filter cartridges with a standard diameter of 4.5 inches (11.43 cm). Thanks to its strong construction and chemical resistance, it is widely used in water treatment, chemical processes, semiconductor applications, oil and gas, and paint or resin coating systems.
Constructed from high-quality polypropylene (blue) or clear styrene acrylonitrile, the housing offers excellent chemical compatibility, while the transparent version also allows for visual inspection of the filtration process.
Connection sizes are available in BSP 1/2 inch or BSP 1 inch, and sealing options include EPDM or Viton O-rings, depending on your chemical compatibility needs.
The housing is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 6.2 bar and can handle temperatures up to 37 °C. For added safety, a version with a pressure relief button is available. This button allows you to safely release built-up pressure before opening the housing – an essential feature for safe maintenance.
The flow rate reaches up to 3 m³/h for the 10 inch version and 5.4 m³/h for the 20 inch version, depending on filter configuration and media.
