Description
Hydrophobic PTFE membrane discs are designed for applications requiring maximum chemical resistance and material inertness. The naturally hydrophobic PTFE membrane provides outstanding chemical compatibility across a broad pH range, making these membrane discs particularly suitable for the filtration of corrosive and aggressive media.
These membrane discs are commonly used for air and gas filtration, aerosol sampling, and venting applications, as well as for the filtration of strong acids, alkaline solutions, and organic solvents. Due to their chemically and biologically inert properties, hydrophobic PTFE membrane discs are well suited for critical processes in pharmaceutical, biotech, food & beverage, and environmental monitoring applications.
With an operating temperature of up to 140°C and resistance across a pH range of 1 to 14, hydrophobic PTFE membrane discs deliver reliable and consistent performance under demanding conditions. The membrane discs are supplied in non-sterile condition and are available in a wide range of pore sizes and diameters to meet diverse laboratory and process requirements.
Typical applications include:
- Air and gas filtration
- Aerosol sampling
- Air venting and pressure equalization
- Filtration of strong acids and aggressive solutions
- HPLC and organic solvent filtration
