Description
0.2 µm hydrophobic PVDF syringe filters are membrane-based vent filters developed for efficient air and gas filtration in laboratory, pharmaceutical and industrial applications. The hydrophobic PVDF membrane prevents the passage of moisture while allowing air and gas to flow freely, making these filters ideal for venting processes where protection against atmospheric contamination is essential.
These syringe filters are commonly used as vent filters for fermentors, tanks, bioreactors and compressed gas systems such as air, oxygen and nitrogen. The 0.2 µm pore size provides high retention efficiency for bacteria and particulates, supporting sterile-grade gas filtration.
The robust polypropylene housing offers broad chemical compatibility and is designed to withstand elevated operating pressures. An over-molded construction ensures mechanical strength and reliability during use. The Female Luer Lock inlet and Male Luer Slip outlet provide a secure, leak-tight connection to standard laboratory syringes and tubing systems.
Hydrophobic PVDF syringe filters are available in diameters of 13 mm, 25 mm and 33 mm, allowing users to select the appropriate filtration area based on gas flow requirements and system volume. Filters can be supplied non-sterile and autoclavable, or sterile via gamma irradiation for immediate use in critical applications.
With low differential pressure, excellent airflow and proven biosafety compliance, these hydrophobic PVDF syringe filters offer a dependable solution for air and gas venting where consistent performance and contamination control are required.
