TFF Cassettes

TFF cassettes are an important component of Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF), also known as crossflow filtration. In this filtration method, the process fluid flows parallel to the membrane surface. Smaller components pass through the membrane as permeate, while larger molecules are retained in the retentate.

TFF is widely used in bioprocessing for applications such as microfiltration, ultrafiltration and diafiltration (UF/DF). Ultrafiltration can be used to concentrate the desired product, while diafiltration can subsequently be applied for processes such as buffer exchange.

TFF cassettes are suitable for a wide range of bioprocessing applications, including the concentration and processing of proteins, nucleic acids, viral vectors and oligonucleotides.
