Description

Sterile PVDF syringe filters are widely used in laboratories where reliability, reproducibility and sample recovery are critical. These filters are equipped with a hydrophilic PVDF membrane, known for combining low protein binding with high flow rates. This makes them particularly suitable for applications where valuable proteins or enzymes need to be preserved.

The filters are available in both single-layer and double-layer configurations. The double-layer version includes an integrated prefilter with a larger pore size, capturing contaminants before they reach the final membrane. This reduces clogging, lowers back pressure and enables higher throughput. The single-layer option offers fast and efficient filtration for less demanding applications.

The housing is made from high-quality polypropylene (PP), ensuring broad chemical compatibility. The over-molded design allows for higher operating pressures, while the Luer lock connection provides a secure and leak-tight fit with standard syringes.

Each filter is individually sterile packed (gamma sterilized) and ready to use, minimizing the risk of contamination. Available in 13, 25 and 33 mm diameters, allowing easy selection based on your sample volume.

Typical applications:

  • Protein and enzyme solutions
  • Biological and aqueous samples
  • Mild organic solutions
  • Routine sample preparation and QC analysis
